Food was very good and the service was excellent! My husband had a steak and I had their pasta. Both meals were fantastic. Highly recommend
Wow. This was among my top 3 best Italian-style cuisine experiences. The spaghetti and steak meatballs was phenomenal. My wife got the shrimp and lobster fettuccine and that was delectable. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. Sigh. It was literally a dream of a meal.
Delicious! Our sever was amazing as well. We went with our family and our 3 week old baby this summer. Everyone took the time after we were done eating to congratulate us and just see our baby. It made us feel welcomed and made our visit feel more personal. The food was wonderful. Our son has texture issues and our waitress and the cook were so helpful and chopped his veggies smaller so he could eat them. I would recommend it. I hope if we go again we get the same experience. We were just visiting someone in town.
The Black Walnut Bistro is conveniently located in Hermann, MO on 1st Street. There is ample parking in front of the restaurant. The food was very good, and dietary accommodations are readily met. I was able to substitute the pasta for a gluten free version and dairy was easily removed from my selections. If you are a dessert fan try the apple cake, it was delicious, perfect for fall. Our service was wonderful! Jane made our visit delightful. We would definitely go back.
Tomato bisque was wonderful. However, the pasta was over priced and over cooked. Chicken in the sauce was dry. We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order and over n hour after we ordered for our food. We had to ask for the status of our starters. Would not recommend it.
