John and Kevin were great. They picked us up were get ambassadors for Hermann. They took us too the wineries shared history of town and the wineries. They were fun very accommodating and made the whole experience entertaining. They took care of all their guest on the trolley individually and as a group. They were all about making sure we had a great time. Can't wait to go back.
We stayed at the Trolley cottage and had a great experience with the Trolley transportation. When we called Kevin he picked us up right away at our house. Kevin was awesome and so friendly. All of the drivers we rode with were amazing and my husband and I had a great time. This is well worth your money. Don't risk getting a DUI, just relax and ride the trolley. We did have to wait at Stone hill for a Trolley because there were a couple large groups, but it was only for a few minutes. You don't have to call for the Trolley if you are at a winery they are constantly coming and in the same rotation to all the wineries. Trust me these guys know what they are doing!
This will be the best use of your money to get around to all the wineries! And so much fun! The team is incredible and the environment they create if the buses are a blast!! You have to take the trolley if you visit Herman!
If you are coming in on the Amtrak, BEWARE. Do not count on riding the Trolley! Their website says that there is “no minimum” but that is definitely not the case. My group of 3 came to Hermann via train on a Sunday and we were counting on riding the Trolley around. When we got there and inquired they said we had to wait for an hour to see if they got any more passengers. (Because apparently 3 is NOT enough). We thought this was terrible customer service and took off walking instead. There apparently IS a minimum amount of people for them to take out the Trolley. So if you have a small party, do not count on getting a ride. Worst experience ever!! The Trolley company basically has a monopoly on transportation in Hermann, so if they won’t help you, you are literally stuck walking everywhere. We tried calling a cab, but there is literally only ONE cab that services the whole area and it was out of town. We also tried to Uber, but there is only ONE Uber driver in the whole town and he was unavailable. A lot of the wineries are NOT within decent walking distance. The Trolley company and Hermann in general needs to be more mindful of people coming in on the Amtrak. It is ridiculous to leave people stranded like this!
Super friendly and accommodating. The ride was fun every time; they've got music and fun stories and give great advice for the local area. We found the service to be MORE than reasonably priced and incredibly helpful. These fellas took great care of us and even helped me personally when I had an emergency the next day. Stellar guys, honest and kind! We will definitely be back!
