I will not return to Adam Puchta, which is a shame because I have tasted their wine, and it is good. Their property is beautiful. Too bad they have no clue what customer loyalty means, or how customer service plays a part in what people decide to purchase.
stopped twice- both times were extremely rude.
Second time, thought I would give them one more chance, brought a friend with me. We were picking out some bottles, and the sales girl asked if we were ready to check out. We weren't. so she left us, and went back into the tasting room. We thought she was coming right back. She wasn't. After ~ a 5 minute browsing time, we decided we weren't important to them. So we left and went to another winery that was very helpful and appreciative of our business.
Great atmosphere and laid back environment. Sit on the outdoor patio or grab a picnic table on the hillside and enjoy live music. The Blackberry Wine slushies were amazing!
We visit every year for your grill-your-own-steak nights. It's an enjoyable evening surrounded by friendly workers and fellow grilling customers. The addition of live music this year was a pleasant addition! Would really enjoy an acoustic guitar player to match the outdoor ambience and relaxed setting if you know of any. We plan to return each month for steak night!
First time, I was intending to fill a case with variety of reds, but they were not interested in helping me. There was a much younger newlywed couple they thought were more in-line with their time. When I tried to taste a couple to decide which would be best, they got very upset and demanded a $5.00 taste. I explained I didn't want a full pour, just a minor taste to taste flavor. I got a lecture. So, I let them keep all of the wine, including the case I was working to fill.
I also mimic other reviewers - charging $5.00 to taste is counter-productive to wanting to sell wine. allowing people to taste is step one to getting them to purchase.
Adam Puchta winery is a nice place to visit. There is no tour like some of the wineries in the area. The wine tasting is a lot of fun but it does cost 5 dollars to taste 8 wines. They pair the wines with chocolate or cookies that can bring out a great flavor. We had a lot of fun and I highly recommend their wines. Most wineries, brewers, and distillers now charge a modest price for tastings due to the huge number of visitors and the cost I would guess to make people available. We left with 6 bottles of wine. And the people there are very pleasant do expect to wait a bit during busy times.
Great tasting, ask for Paula! Great scenic view of the woods unlike a lot of wineries in the area!
